Aims and Scope

Geopolitical Economy(GE) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to critically examining the interplay between political power, economic systems, and global governance. The journal fosters interdisciplinary dialogue among scholars of political economy, international relations, geography, and development studies to analyze how geopolitical forces shape—and are shaped by—economic structures, inequalities, and conflicts.By bridging theory and praxis, Geopolitical Economy advances debates on imperialism, hegemony, resource competition, financialization, and emerging multipolar orders. It encourages historically grounded, methodologically diverse research that challenges mainstream paradigms and explores alternatives for a more equitable global system.
